The crew of Mist
Susan, originally from the East Coast began sailing small dinghies during the short New England summers. The winters she spent tackling the local ski mountains with her family and friends. In the late 70's Susan had moved to California, mesmerized by the beach culture she sailed Hobie 14's, 16's and 18's at the local beach breaks. After owning several businesses in San Diego and San Francisco Susan decided it was time to live a simpler life. She now lives part time in the California mountains and part time aboard a sailing vessel traveling to distant shores. A favorite quote of Susan's "all who wander are not lost" -Gandalf
Elba, a San Francisco native, began sailing dinghies in the San Francisco Bay. She bought and restored her first sailboat, a 29' Trintella in the mid 90's. She enjoyed sailing in the bay and racing bird boats with friends. She spends part of the year cruising and living/working part of the year in Northern California. "Never give up" says Elba.
Susan and Elba both co-own as well as co-captain the sailing vessel Mist a 40' Cape George Cutter.
